As a parallel activity to the Festival, Filmkontakt Nord organises
Nordisk Panorama Market, which each year offers a unique overview of ca. 300 new short film and documentary titles independently produced in the Nordic region within the
last year.
Nordisk Panorama Market welcomes international buyers, distributors film festival programmers from all of Europe and beyond. In addition, Filmkontakt Nord
publishes the Nordisk Panorama Market Catalogue, which is a valuable
marketing tool during Nordisk Panorama and throughout the year at
international film & TV markets and festivals.
Nordisk Panorama Market 2007 in Oulu, Finland, offered the 27 attending professionals screening opportunity of not only the 78 films
in competition, but a total of 299 new short films and documentaries
produced in the Nordic countries during the previous year.
Nordisk Panorama Market 2007 welcomed representatives from a.o. Canal+
France, Netherlands Public Broadcasting, the Nordic public service broadcasters as well as the
international film festivals, Clermont-Ferrand Int. Short Film
Festival, Curtas Vila do Conde, Indie Lisboa, Animatricks, Tempo Dokumentärfestival, Tampere International Short Film Festival, TekFestival and Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen.
And as usual, the international distributors, Italian Villages Srl., Films Transit International Inc., Channel Zero and
SND Films made efficient use of Nordisk Panorama
Market.
And, as always, Nordisk Panorama Market offered specialised consultancy
by Filmkontakt Nord and International Relations specialists from the
Danish Film Institute, the Finnish Film Foundation, the Icelandic
Film Centre, the Norwegian Film Institute, and the Swedish Film
Institute.
