Dutch Broadcaster VPRO has launched Metropolis, a global media project produced collectively by more than 50 film directors and video bloggers worldwide. Each week the Metropolis correspondents send in their video reports on one global issue, giving viewers a variety of perspectives from all over the world. Each correspondent contributes one piece to the puzzle. Combined, these stories offer a unique opportunity to discover similarities and differences between people worldwide.
The Metropolis project will add a new 'global view' every week. The contributions (2'-7' each) will be featured on the website www.metropolisweb.tv in both English and Dutch. A selection of the reports wil also be edited into a weekly TV show on Dutch national television.
Details on how to join can be found on the website and the promo can be watched here.
